Weekly News Round-up – 11th September

  • Fallout 4 will receive a mix of free updates and paid DLC with a season pass. Bethesda have announced that Fallout 4 will receive a number of free updates post-launch in addition to a number of paid DLC expansions as well as the Creation Kit for modders. While the exact content of the DLC has not been announced by Bethesda, they have said a season pass will be available for purchase which will score you any and all further content for $30 USD.

  • Pikmin 4 is in development and ‘very close to completion’. Nintendo president Shigeru Miyamoto has confirmed that Pikmin 4 is on its way. “It’s actually very close to completion” Miyamoto told Eurogamer. “Pikmin teams are always working on the next one.” It is unknown at this point which console Pikmin 4 will launch on, but it’s a safe bet to assume it’ll be coming to the Wii U.

  • Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen is finally headed to the PC. Capcom have announced that hit fantasy action-RPG Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen is finally headed to the PC after much demand from fans. The game will be released on Steam for $29.99 USD and feature controller support as well as ‘high-fidelity’ graphics.

  • Pokemon GO announced for Android and iPhone. A new Pokemon mobile game is coming to smartphones developed by Nintendo, The Pokemon Company and Niantic Inc. Lauren has covered extensively everything you need to know right here. Or  you can simply check out the announcement trailer here.

  • The first official The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt expansion has been revealed. The very first expansion for CD Project Red’s The Witcher 3 is called Hearts of Stone and is headed your way on October 13th. Check out the reveal trailer here.

  • Gary’s Mod is getting a sequel. If you’re a fan of Valve games then you’ll be happy to know that the popular tool Gary’s Mod is getting a sequel and it won’t be called ‘Gary’s Mod 2‘. Development is still in the early days according the Facepunch Studios founder Garry Newman but will feature VR support.

  • Apple has announced their new version of Apple TV which can now play games! You can now play games like Guitar Hero Live, Skylanders Superchargers, Rayman Adventures, Transistor and more can be played with the Apple remote or any Bluetooth controller! Read all about it here.
