POINTNCLICK’S Top Video Game Picks For This Week

July 30 – August 5 Edition

You know what’s boring? News. Especially news about games no one cares for! Never fear, POINTCLICK is here to curate the videogames WE’RE interested in, and the ones YOU might want to play this week. Fortunately, the POINTNCLICK crew has a delectable, buttery spread of opinions that will (hopefully) ensure a nice range of diverse and interesting games. Some weeks individuals may not feature, some weeks this article might not exist, but if you’re reading this now I’d say this probably happened.

Lauren’s Picks

Stardew Valley Multiplayer Update

Release Date: 1st of August

Okay, okay, yeah, it’s not a new release game but I have been looking forward to this update for SO. DAMN. LONG. Creating a full farm with my friends? Experiencing one of my favourite games all over again in a whole new light? Sign me up, please!

And it doesn’t even cost me anything…

Josh’s Picks

Stardew Valley Multiplayer Update

Release Date: 1st of August

DON’T EVEN CARE THAT THIS ISN’T A NEW GAME! I’VE WAITED ALMOST TWO YEARS TO BUILD A FARM WITH LAUREN AND I WILL NOT LET YOU TAKE THIS AWAY FROM ME. DON’T EVEN @ ME.

Salt and Sanctuary

Release Date: 2nd of August

I love Souls-likes. I love 2D platformers. I love my Nintendo Switch. I love when games get released in Australia.

Sadly Salt and Sanctuary is only three of the four things I have listed above. Looks like it is time to make a foreign Nintendo Account. UGH.

This Is the Police 2

Release Date: 2nd of August

THQ Nordic is coming hard and fast with releases this year, and This Is the Police 2 has managed to slip onto my radar in the last week. I had never even heard of the first game, but a turn-based law enforcement game with 60s-esque music and a delectable art-style? Count me in.
