POINTNCLICK’S Top Video Game Picks For This Week

NOVEMBER 12 – NOVEMBER 18 EDITION

You know what’s boring? News. Especially news about games no one cares for! Never fear, POINTCLICK is here to curate the video games we are interested in, and the ones you might want to play this week. Fortunately, the POINTNCLICK crew has a delectable, buttery spread of opinions that will (hopefully) ensure a nice range of diverse and interesting games. Some weeks individuals may not feature, some weeks this article might not exist, but if you’re reading this now I’d say this probably happened.

David’s Picks

Battlefield V

Release Date: 15th of November

I absolutely have no idea which version of Battlefield V is releasing on the 15th, though, I thought I’d add it into my top picks for this week because it’s a good ‘middle ground’. Guys, I’m ready for a Battlefield game in WW2 again. I didn’t get to play much of the beta, but honestly just playing a Battlefield game with 0 stutter after my latest PC upgrades has been levolutionary.

Sid Meier’s Civilization VI for Switch

Release Date: 16th of November

Isn’t this coming out on phones? Wait, maybe that’s number V… Either way, it’ll be better on Switch. I will consider picking this up around the Christmas break, though, right now I’m pretty enthralled in Diablo III.

Spyro Reignited Trilogy

Release Date: 13th of November

I think I’m only including Spyro because of the pretty graphics. I never had any affinity for the Spyro games, but I think that’s primarily because I never made it past a couple of hours into the first game because I didn’t have a PS1 memory card for my PS2. I’ll look on with interest to see if the series holds up on any scale that isn’t defined purely by nostalgia.

Cotter’s Picks

Spyro Reignited Trilogy

Release Date: 13th of November

There’s no genre I enjoy more than the 3D platformer, and amongst the sea of abandoned mascots, none bring me greater joy than Insomniac’s three original Spyro games. I’ve wanted trophy support for these PS1 classics for years, and I’m made giddy by the prospect of completing some of my favourite games once again.

Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee/Pikachu!

Release Date: 16th of November

I love Pokémon as much as the next person, but my recent addiction to Pokémon GO has propelled my excitement for this new instalment significantly. I can’t believe we’re this close to playing a High-Definition Pokémon RPG!

Lauren’s Picks

Hitman 2

Release Date: 13th of November

If there’s a Hitman game out there, you better believe I’m either going to be playing it or watching copious Let’s Plays on it. Seriously, though, I completely forgot about this title until, like, last week. Is that a good sign? I’m not sure, but I do know that that doesn’t waiver any excitement about consuming this game one way or another.

Falliut 76

Release Date: 14th of November

Now, THIS is a game I’m truly excited for. I didn’t get into/get the Fallout series until Fallout 4 when I felt it was the most accessible, and I loved it. Now, with this online experience, I’m extremely excited to see how this open-world, online chaos will be handled and how it’ll play for a solitary online player such as myself!

Sid Meier’s Civilization VI for Switch

Release Date: 16th of November

Gimme those real-time strategy games anytime, but on the SWITCH?! And CIVILIZATION?! Excuse me, I’ll be in bed for the next 32 hours.

Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee/Pikachu!

Release Date: 16th of November

Oh boy, it’s a Pokémon game for the Switch! My newly ignited love for Pokémon GO has made my want to purchase this title even higher. I didn’t even know it could go that high! However, the hardest choice… Eevee or Pikachu?
