POINTNCLICK’S Top Video Game Picks For This Week

October 8 – October 14 Edition

You know what’s boring? News. Especially news about games no one cares for! Never fear, POINTCLICK is here to curate the video games we are interested in, and the ones you might want to play this week. Fortunately, the POINTNCLICK crew has a delectable, buttery spread of opinions that will (hopefully) ensure a nice range of diverse and interesting games. Some weeks individuals may not feature, some weeks this article might not exist, but if you’re reading this now I’d say this probably happened.

David’s Picks

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4

Release Date: The 12th of October

ARGHHHH I want to love Call of Duty again! I didn’t give the Beta a go, but from what I’ve seen I’m totally down for Black Out mode, along with some standard Team Deathmatch glory. There’s no question whether I’ll purchase this game or not, the real puzzle is whether I’ll play it for longer than 6 hours.

XCOM 2: War of the Chosen – Tactical Legacy Pack

Release Date: The 9th of October

This is a really cool thing. I like this. Essentially just a content pack for XCOM 2: War of the Chosen, which includes new game modes that explore the time between XCOM and XCOM 2. Perhaps over the Christmas holidays, I’ll dive back into my addiction.

Cotter’s Picks

The Missing: J.J. Macfield and the Island of Memories

Release Date: The 11th of October

I adore SWERY, the director who brought us Deadly Premonition and D4: Dark Dreams Don’t Die, so I’m surprised to see this game releasing to such little fanfare. Nevertheless, I’m very intrigued by what I’ve seen, and I cannot wait to play a new SWERY game.

The World Ends With You: Final Remix

Release Date: The 12th of October

The World Ends With You is one of those titles I constantly think of returning to, before remembering how much I struggled with the Nintendo DS controls and instead settle for playing Kingdom Hearts for the hundredth time. I know that I’m going to fall in love with this game, and this looks like the perfect time for me to jump in.
